Day 25

Decoupage LetterOK, so it isn’t  fabric, but both Cat and I agreed it would be nice to get some variety into the blog. Today’s make is a decoupage letter, created as Kitty’s friend’s belated birthday present. For those of you who don’t know, decoupage is essentially the art of decorating a particular object by sticking coloured paper cutouts onto it. What’s more, you can paint over it, vary the colour, print a pattern on your paper and embellish with things like string and beads. Decoupage is great because whilst it is quick, simple and easy to do, the results are always really effective. Decoupage would be a fantastic way to add extra character to a room on a small budget, and decoupaging a friend’s name with quirky paper would make a cute birthday present. Either way, we love it.
